Losing weight can be challenging. Sometimes you will get discouraged and wish that you quit. But that is not the idea, we want you to have the body that you love. Here are some six mistakes you could be making that are preventing you from great results

Choosing low-fat foods Only
Well don’t get it wrong we obviously know we need to reduce fat and excessive calorie intake, but what exactly does this mean? Eating a low-fat diet exclusively may cause you to get hungrier often. This makes you eat more or even end u craving foods that you were avoiding. Instead of cutting all your fat intake, try to balance nutritious and less processed foods and make sure you supplement with fruits and vegetables.
Not eating enough Protein
There is a general tendency that if you are trying to lose weight you stop eating much food. Some will even get into fasting. This puts you risk of not taking enough protein in the body. Having a protein-rich diet is important for the following reasons;
- Helps to lower the amount of weight you may regain after weight loss
- Lower your appetite
- It helps maintain an optimal metabolic rate
- It protects the muscle mass so as not to lose muscle as you lose fat
Skipping Your Fiber intake
Studies have indicated that eating fibre-rich foods such as viscous fibre helps reduce appetite. This is achieved through forming a gel that helps in retain water in your stomach and n return this makes you feel full. So next time try to eat a balanced diet and do not forget your fibre. The goal however is to fill full but make sure to eat a healthy meal at least once a day so as to prevent gaining weight other than losing.
Having unrealistic goals

If you ask me, this is the greatest mistake. People will expect to lose 20 kgs in a week or to have abs in a month. It is possible but maybe through other methods like medication and surgery. Using natural methods, be sure to make realistic goals and remain consistent. Weight loss is more than just doing one thing. It cuts from your mental health, habits and attitudes. Make sure that you have a balance and that your journey will be smooth. Do not put goals that discourage you or put very stringent routines for you to keep up.
