Health is pretty much our wealth. keeping a healthy body is not only important, but it also is crucial and it is important and needs to be exercised throughout the day. The following are the 4 habits that are simple to follow to keep healthy.
1. Get your exercise

Keep your body moving! Regular exercise helps control weight keep your bones, muscles and joints healthy as well as reduce the risk of blood pressure and heart disease. A study in the US showed that 260,000 deaths accounted in a year were directly attributed to lack of physical activity. Imagine dying because you refused to exercise? The common myth in Kenya is that you need to go to the gym to exercise. It doesn’t have to be like that, you can walk, skip rope or even do the simple cardio exercises at your home. Alternatively, there are a lot of resources online that you can use to form a workout routine.
2. Always eat breakfast

Did you have breakfast today? Research has indicated that people who have breakfast have more vitamins and minerals and less cholesterol in their bodies. Eating a high fibre and protein breakfast keeps you highly energise throughout the day. Try meals like yoghurt, low-fat milk, fruits and cereals and whole-grain options. Having a nutritious breakfast also prevents you from mindless eating which may cause weight gain.
3. Practice healthy eating throughout the day
Now, this is not to be confused with mindless eating. This is nourishing your body throughout the day with fruits, water and fibre rich foods to avoid sugar and snacks. A healthy way to think about your meals is making sure that there is, at least 2 fish meals per week, foods with omega-3 and fibre foods. Make sure that you exercise portion control as you serve your meals. Also, make sure to chew your food well before swallowing it. chewing your food slowly can reduce calorie intake up to 10 %. This is because it only takes 20 mins for your stomach to tell your brain that you are full.
4. Stay hydrated
What better ways to stay healthy than to take water? Getting proper amounts of water is extremely important because each cell of the body needs water. Traditionally you have been informed that you need 8 glasses of water daily. But a better practice is to take water and make sure that you slow down so that you urinate every 2 to 3 hours other than getting rid of the water in 30 minutes because you took too much to meet the 8 glasses mark.
Now that you have learned this, go ahead and make sure you take care of yourself!
